New Serbian Democracy submits motion to remove Mandić from office, signed by Montenegro’s Parliament Speaker himself

Members of Parliament from the New Serbian Democracy (NSD) have submitted a motion to remove Andrija Mandić from his position as Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro. The motion was also signed by Montenegro's Parliament Speaker himself.
The motion, published on the Parliament of Montenegro’s website, states that the initiative is being submitted with the aim of encouraging political dialogue and achieving broader consensus on issues of key importance to European integration.
- The current parliamentary term has seen the Parliament of Montenegro achieve outstanding results on its European path, making a significant contribution to aligning legislation with the European Union acquis and accelerating reform processes. Given the importance of constitutional amendments for fulfilling obligations under negotiating Chapters 23 and 24, additional efforts are needed to secure the broadest possible political support - the motion states.
The initiative, they add, reflects a willingness to put Montenegro’s European interests above political differences and enable key reforms to continue.
- The aim is for Montenegro, with all political actors acting responsibly, to continue making decisive progress towards full membership of the European Union - NSD MPs state in the explanatory note.
The document was signed, in the following order, by Mandić, Dejan Đurović, Jelena Božović, Vaso Obradović, Bojana Pićan, Velimir Đoković, Milica Rondović, Milan Lekić, Vuko Todorović and Danilo Jokić.
