The „Yugoslav king of gambling“, Slobodan Šaranović from Danilovgrad, was murdered in March 2017 in a ruthless act of revenge at the request of the leader of the Zemun clan Luka Bojović, and it was planned that the killers would be paid 500,000 euros each. The claim that Bojović ordered the murder is stated in the investigation order filed by the Special State Prosecutor’s Office against eight members of the Bar branch of the Škaljari criminal clan.

On the list of suspects, the SSPO identified as members of a criminal group, organized in early 2017 by the now deceased Alan Kožar and Mile Radulović, who took part in six brutal assassinations: Bar residents Stefan Đukić Mandić, Stefan Janković, Stefan Mićić, Predrag Đuričković, Mališa Bubanja, Podgorica resident Vuk Lakićević, and Kotor residents Tripo Ivović and Lazar Klakor. According to the investigation order against this group of eight, the same criminal organization also included the now deceased Bar residents Edmond Mustafa, Zijad Nurković, and Damir Hodžić.

According to investigators, on March 11, 2017, in Budva, Janković, Klakor, and Ivović, together with Nurković, Hodžić, Mustafa, and unidentified individuals referred to by the group’s leader Mile Radulović by the pseudonyms „M“ and „S“, participated in the murder of Šaranović.

MONEY AND AN APARTMENT FOR ŠARANOVIĆ’S MURDER

- For the purpose of carrying out the criminal plan of the organizers to avenge the killing of Luka Bojović’s brother from Serbia, the now deceased Damir Hodžić and Edmond Mustafa stole a BMW vehicle in Ulcinj, hid it on Mount Sutorman near Bar, and then made it available to suspects Stefan Janković and the late Zijad Nurković, who agreed to act as direct perpetrators for a financial compensation of €500,000 each. For that purpose, firearms were also provided: an automatic rifle M70 AB2 (7.62×39 mm, serial number 334257) to Janković, and an Israeli-made „Jericho 941“ 9mm pistol with an erased serial number to Nurković - the order states.

Based on the collected evidence, the Special State Prosecutor's Office suspects Stefan Janković and Zijad Nurković as the direct perpetrators, who waited for Šaranović in a stolen vehicle in front of the building where he lived.

According to the prosecution, Janković and Nurković received information about Šaranović’s location from Mile Radulović. Janković fired six shots from an automatic weapon, while Nurković fired 14 rounds from the „Jericho“ pistol.

After the crime, investigators believe Janković and Nurković hid the vehicle and then set it, along with the weapons used, on fire on a dirt road in the area of Dub. The SSPO claims that after the crime, suspects Lazar Klakor, Tripo Ivović, and other unidentified individuals hid Janković and Nurković in Tivat and Kotor, enabling them to remain undiscovered.

- Instead of the promised sum, the late Mile Radulović and Alan Kožar allegedly paid €250,000 each as a reward for the murder of Slobodan Šaranović, while Mile Radulović bought an apartment in Tivat for defendant Lazar Klakor as a reward - the order states.

In addition to Šaranović’s murder, this criminal organization is also charged with the killings of Davor Prelević, Siniša Vlahović, Željko Bulatović, Marko Sjekloća, and Serbian national Ilija Krstić.

According to SSPO evidence, Bar residents Stefan Janković and Stefan Mićić, at an unspecified date in early June 2018 on the island of Mallorca in Spain, together with Nurković and several unidentified individuals, participated in the murders of Siniša Vlahović and Davor Prelević.

- After receiving information that the victims, on behalf of a rival criminal organization, were guarding at least 400 kilograms of cocaine in a house at an unknown location on Mallorca, they killed them by an as yet undetermined method and, with the aim of obtaining illegal financial gain for themselves and their criminal organization, seized the drugs and shared them among members of their group, while hiding the victims’ remains at an unknown location in Spain - the order states.

REMAINS HIDDEN IN A FORTRESS

Suspects Stefan Đukić Mandić, Vuk Lakićević, Stefan Janković, Lazar Klakor, and Tripo Ivović are also charged with participating in the murder of Serbian citizen Ilija Krstić from Leskovac in late May and early June 2019.

- Using an acquaintance, Vuk Lakićević contacted the victim and deceived him into coming to a rented apartment in Budva, where he was supposedly to stay in preparation for the killing of Marko Ljubiša Kan from Budva - the prosecution document states.

Stefan Đukić and Stefan Janković allegedly took Krstić to Kotor, where they killed him. According to the order, Lazar Klakor and Tripo Ivović also participated in the killing. One of the suspects shot Krstić in the head.

- Krstić sustained severe injuries from which he died. Afterwards, they attempted to burn his remains by setting a fire in the Grabovac fortress in Kotor, then hid them in the fortress cistern and sealed the entrance with concrete. However, the remains of Ilija Krstić were found on May 19, 2025 - according to details from the investigation order.
