The parliamentary vote last night on constitutional amendments showed who truly wants Montenegro to join the European Union and who is willing to halt its European path - Prime Minister Milojko Spajić said, adding that he was particularly sorry that MPs from the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), at the signal of their informal leader, had defended the agreement with United Russia.

- I am particularly sorry that a new generation of politicians within the Democratic Party of Socialists, at the public signal of their (in)formal leader, openly defended the agreement he entered into with United Russia 15 years ago - the Prime Minister said.

However, as he pointed out, if we were to speak in terms of facts, it is clear who opened the doors to Europe and who tried to close them.

- During whose term in office did citizens’ incomes triple, and who, during their final ten years in power, caused an entire city the size of Nikšić to leave Montenegro – Spajić asked.

Responsible politicians, Spajić concluded, have a duty to create a better environment in the country every day.

- That is why I am telling them once again that it is time to live according to the Euro Model - Spajić said.
