Laković: Once exuberant supporters of Trump’s rise to power have gone silent

Independent Member of Parliament Miodrag Laković stated in a post on X that the once loud and exuberant supporters of Donald Trump’s rise to power have now „fallen silent“. According to him, these supporters had previously announced a reckoning with wars, the decadence of the global order, and the so-called „deep state“.

- The sarcastic side of my personality cannot help but notice how silent the once exuberant supporters of Trump’s rise to power have become, those who had been proclaiming his reckoning with wars, the decadence of the global order, and the deep state - Laković wrote on X.

It is worth recalling that Montenegro’s Prime Minister Milojko Spajić had previously publicly expressed satisfaction with Trump’s election as President of the United States and his inauguration.

At the time, Spajić congratulated Trump on assuming office via X, stating that Montenegro, as well as the global economy, had reason for optimism.

On that occasion, he also posted a video from a car in which he sings the song „God bless the USA“, a well-known track by country singer Lee Greenwood and one of Trump’s supporters.

In the video, alongside the Prime Minister, his Chief of Staff Branko Krvavac can also be seen, focused on his phone at the time.
