Jovanović: What Lazović stated in his defence, the expert made indisputable

Lawyer Stefan Jovanović said today outside the High Court that financial and economic expert Miloš Vuković confirmed what Zoran Lazović, former Assistant Director of the Police Administration, stated several times in his defence, that he had income from agricultural activities on his property. 

-The expert established this simply by reviewing the website of the APC, that is, publicly available documentation, and determined that economic activity had been carried out during the specific period requested by the prosecution and that the income amounted to more than €120,000. This is yet another in a series of pieces of evidence proposed by the prosecution that contradict what the prosecution itself claims. In this case, it contradicts the prosecution’s money-laundering theory. Today, you could hear the expert say that, when preparing his findings, he reviewed all the accounts belonging to our client as well as members of his family, and that he noticed absolutely nothing unusual in those accounts or in any transactions made from them - Jovanović said. 

He added that this perhaps speaks for itself. Jovanović stressed that the expert had made indisputable what Lazović had stated in his defence and that, consequently, the prosecution’s allegation concerning the alleged money laundering does not hold water, as the saying goes.
