Deputy Mayor of Pljevlja resigns

The Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Pljevlja Darko Gazdić has resigned from his position, the Mayor of Pljevlja, Dario Vraneš, announced at a session of the Municipal Assembly.
Vraneš stated that Gazdić submitted his resignation this morning, adding that he had his full support in his work, as reported by RTV Pljevlja.
- He performed his duties honorably and with integrity - said Vraneš.
He also emphasized that he had not obstructed any officials in their work, including the Deputy Mayor, and that he had maintained correct and professional cooperation with Gazdić.
Darko Gazdić was appointed to the position as a representative of the Europe Now Movement, a political party that left the ruling coalition in Pljevlja a few days ago.
- We do not want to be part of a government where there are no clear rules, political agreements, or accountability to citizens. Without a coalition agreement and basic trust among partners, it is not possible to run a stable and responsible local administration or implement projects important for the development of Pljevlja - the Pljevlja branch of the Europe Now Movement stated at the time.
They added that they would continue to act in the local parliament as a responsible and constructive political entity.
- We will support all decisions that are in the interest of citizens, but we will equally firmly point out any political irresponsibility – the Europe Now Movement concluded.
